SCOR/Six Sigma/Lean Convergence Forum, Nov. 13-14, San Diego

The Supply-Chain Council (SCC) is hosting the third annual SCOR/Six Sigma/Lean Convergence Forum, November 13-14, 2007, in San Diego, California. Attendees will learn how the Supply-Chain Operations Reference-model (SCOR) complements and enables Six Sigma and Lean.

The keynote address at the Convergence Forum will be given by Paul C. Husby, Vice President Supply Chain Services and Operations, 3M. Further presentations will be given by speakers from: Dupont, Lockheed Martin Company, Pragmatek Consulting Group, United Space Alliance, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and The Walt Disney Company, who will provide real-world case studies on how they have successfully integrated these process improvement methodologies.

The Convergence Forum is preceded by SCOR 8.0 Framework Training (Nov. 12-13), which is recommended for those new to the SCOR model. The event is followed by a SCOR/Six Sigma/Lean Convergence Workshop (Nov. 15-16), which will help improvement professionals formulate a specific implementation plan for their organization. Also to be held concurrent to the Convergence workshop will be a session on SCOR Implementation, for those interested in attending training only on implementing the SCOR model.

The Convergence Forum and all SCOR workshops will be located at The Westgate Hotel which is located in downtown San Diego opposite Horton Plaza Shopping Center and the famous Gaslamp Quarter.
